How is a Refresh different from a Full-Service Design?
A Full-Service Design starts from scratch — new concept, full procurement, complete installation. A Refresh works with what you have. We audit your existing setup, identify the highest-impact upgrades, and implement targeted changes that move the needle without a full overhaul. It's faster, less disruptive, and significantly more cost-effective when the bones of the space are solid.
Do I need to be present for the in-person refresh?
No — and many of our clients aren't. We handle everything from access coordination to installation to final walkthrough. Remote and out-of-state investors frequently hand us the keys and check back in at the reveal. We document every stage and share photos throughout the day so you're always in the loop.
How much should I budget for new decor and accessories?
It depends on what the audit reveals — sometimes a refresh requires surprisingly little new investment. A targeted accessory refresh might run $500–$2,000 in new items. A more significant furniture edit and restyle could be $2,000–$5,000. We'll give you a realistic estimate after your audit, and our trade access means your budget goes further than shopping retail. Nothing is ordered without your approval.
Can you work with furniture I already own?
Absolutely — that's the whole point of a refresh. We assess everything on-site and incorporate whatever is guest-worthy, durable, and on-brand for the new direction. We'll be honest about pieces that aren't serving the design so you can decide whether to replace them. Keeping quality existing items is one of the best ways to maximize your refresh budget.
How quickly can I relist after the refresh?
Most clients are ready to update their listing photos and go live within a day or two of installation — sometimes the same day. For virtual refresh clients, you can start implementing changes as soon as you receive your plan and the items arrive. We'll advise on the optimal timing to maximize your listing visibility after the update.
Do you offer refreshes for residential homes — not just Airbnbs?
Yes. While our Property Refresh service is designed with STR hosts in mind, the same process applies beautifully to residential spaces — particularly for homeowners who want to modernize a room or two without a full redesign.
